Even in bustling Vienna, Mozart succeeded in finding oases of calm and bliss. In the summer house of 224 Landstraße he often played flute quartets and his Divertimento for String Trio with friends. Spengel's romantic reworking of the stormy Crete in Mozart's Idomeneo is perfect for this intimate setting.

The concert will be recorded by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF and broadcasted on July 8, 2008, 10.05 a.m. on radio OE1.
