Those who have already been here are thrilled. Graz, you'll discover, is a charming gem of a city, and yet, is not nearly as crowded as Salzburg or Vienna. Graz, the capital of the Austrian province of Styria, has one of the best-preserved old town areas in German-speaking Europe.
The city's narrow, winding streets, lovely courtyards, and above all, its southern European flair give Graz its special atmosphere. The Schlossberg, the old fortress situated in the center of Graz, offers a wonderful view over the roofs of the city.
