Christophe Pantillon studied violoncello with Heinrich Schiff in Basel, with Valentin Erben in Vienna, and with Ralph Kirchbaum in Manchester; master class with Mischa Maisky.
In 1991 he won the John Barbirolli Prize for the Cello in Manchester; from 1993 to 2005 he was section leader in the orchestra of Vienna Volksoper; in 1995 he had his debut in the Vienna Musikverein.
He is member of the "Leschetizky Trio Wien"; founding member of the "Aron Quartett Wien" (quartet in residence in the Arnold Schönberg Center Vienna); and he performed as soloist and as chamber musician all over Europe, in Japan, and in the United States.
At the styriarte 2008 Christophe Pantillon plays as member of the Mozartensemble der Wiener Volksoper.
