Klara Flieder

Born in Vienna. Studies with Grete Biedermann at the Vienna Conservatory, obtaining her diploma "with honours". Completed her studies with Christian Ferras (Paris) and Arthur Grumiaux (Brussels); master classes with Henryk Szeryng, Nathan Milstein and Augustin Dumay.

Many concerts in Europe, both as soloist and as chamber musician. Performed at international festivals (Kuhmo Festival in Finland, Midsummer Music Festival Umea in Sweden, Carinthischer Sommer) and in famous concert halls, e.g. the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Paris), the South Bank Center (London). Long-time member of the Flieder Trio.

Member of the "Leschetizky Trio-Vienna". Recordings for EMI, Dabringhaus & Grimm, Extraplatte and Preiser Records. Has taught at the Music Universities of Vienna and Graz; master classes in Austria, Sweden and Spain. Since 2005 professor at the University Mozarteum of Salzburg.

At the styriarte 2008 Klara Flieder plays as member of the Mozartensemble der Volksoper Wien.
