Dominik Maringer

Dominik Maringer was born in Innsbruck, started learning violin and piano at the age of six, and graduated from the Brucknerkonservatorium in Linz (violin). At the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg he studied play. In 2003 he took a play class at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford.

In the following years he played at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Hamburg Thalia Theater, in the Zeisehallen Hamburg, in the Sophiensäle in Berlin, at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, and at the Stadttheater Bern. He worked together with Andreas Bode, Vera Nemirova, Roger Vontobel, Christiane Pohle, Wanda Golonka, Christof Nel, Stephan Müller, and others.

In the past season Dominik Maringer played at the Schauspielhaus Graz ("Zwischenspiel", "Sonne, Wolke, AMERIKA", "Der Menschenfeind", "Der Besuch der alten Dame" and "Der Talismann"). In the season 2007/2008 he performs in plays roles in "Verschwinden oder Die Nacht wird abgeschafft", and in the continuations of "Der Besuch der alten Dame" and "Der Menschenfeind".

The young actor also played in TV productions: in 2003 in the Tatort series "Todesbande" and in the ARD film "Alpenglühen", in 2005 in the Japanese movie "Bart no gakuen" by Masanobu Deme.
